MIT College of Food Technology is one of the brain child constituent faculties of MIT Art, Design and Technology University, Pune.  The institute is emerged out as a center of excellence in education, research and out rich activities in the discipline of food science and technology.  The need base infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, comfort base nicely furnished class rooms, franchise base pilot processing plants are the major strengths of institution.  Well qualified, skilled and expertize enriched teaching faculty, self-commitment oriented, customized intuitional ownership driven and hardworking non-teaching faculty responsible for vibrant and ecofriendly working atmosphere will leave no any stone unturned to facilitate three dimensional development of institution (MIT-CFT).  The skilled and expertized teaching faculty has led down a foundation stone to quantify the mindset transformation index of students from job seekers to job providers.  The institute has mandate to develop need base and global competitive students entrepreneurship.  The three phase higher education system comprising of graduation (B.Tech), Post-graduation (M.Tech) and Ph.D Tech. (Food Tech) is unique of its kind in private education domain in the discipline of food science and technology.    

      The development of skilled and expertize human resource, motivation of franchise base common mass entrepreneurship, provision of  rational technology base solution to the critical problems of corporate sector and commitment to social and national development are self-manifested through continuous progress driven academic journey of  institution. The college of food technology is leading one step ahead to develop its own brand and destination on the national map of educational institutions.

To be a center of excellence in training, research, outreach and consultancy services in Food Science and Technology with emphasis on value addition of agricultural produce, processing technology driven conservation of food, nutritional goodness, food security and safety assurance through stake holder sensitization.


The fundamental mission of MIT-CFT is to emerge out as a global competitive center (Institute) of excellence to impart graduation, post-graduation and Doctoral education programs (B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. Tech.) in the discipline of Food Science and Technology to satisfy aspirations of new generation.
